Potpourri for Your Family Tree
Saturday, 29 June 2024 at 11:00 - 12:30 p.m. Central Time
Sometimes referred to as A.I.M.S. schedules (Agricultural; Industrial; Mortality; Social), Non-Population Schedules offer an abundance of foliage for your family tree, including a glimpse of what the family farm looked like, death-related tidbits, and undiscovered “ailments” and disabilities. The various schedules were prepared at the same time Population Schedules were prepared, but are a bit more difficult to find on the internet. Various state censuses also include agricultural and social information. During the 19th century, “labeling” was used to differentiate the various “classes” of the population -- such labels of which have since been outlawed by the same entity that introduced them – the U.S. Government.
