Ports of Call:
From Failed Hypothesis to Something Really Useful

Saturday, 15 November 2025 at 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Central Time
In this class – based on an inconclusive year-long research project – participants will be introduced to major U.S. ports of entry during the waves of immigration spanning the 19th and early 20th centuries. Information covered will include a discussion of each major (and some minor) U.S. ports, the key trends and policies that impact our immigration research, and an overview of online and print resources to use when searching for an immigrant ancestor’s port of entry.
